Documents Needed For an FHA Loan
Every loan requires a standard set of documentation. Although each loan is not created equal, they all need basic documents. Here’s the list of basic documents needed.
- Executed/Dated Purchase Contract
- Copy of Driver's Licenses, SS Card, or other forms of identification
- Last two year's signed tax return (All pages - very important)
- Past Two Years - W-2's from employer(s) or 1099's
- 30 Days most recent pay-stubs
- Copy of most recent two months bank statements on all accounts
- Contact information for Title Company
- Homeowners Insurance Contact Information
- Complete Application and Disclosures Signed
- Divorce Decree and Child Support Orders if applicable
- If renting, the name, address and phone number of Landlord
- A letter of explanation for any known credit problems
- VA Benefits letter - DD214 - Certificate of Eligibility - Nearest Living Relative
- Copy of current mortgage, tax and insurance statements on all properties
- Bankruptcy Discharge Papers; along with original papers & creditor schedules
